/Never waste a good mixed drink. Good advice. Should you mix up a batch or pitcher of cocktails and not go through it, remove the ice and save it. If you can drink what you made over the next week or so, nothing will go to waste. Keep any leftover pre mixed cocktail in the refrigerator and pour a glass whenever you want one. Great cocktails are certainly not a modern invention. Here is an online library of some fabulous vintage cocktail recipe books that should keep you busy for months. The EUVS Vintage Cocktail Books Library is a catalog of free books from the late 1800's through about the 1930's. We found that some of these have great tongue in cheek humor as well as drink recipes from two earlier centuries. You will also find an array of appetizer ideas and mention of ingredients that may be extinct. A little urban archeology may be required to recreate some of these recipes. Fun!
